AMY FIALKOFF LMSW

afialkoff@christiancounselingbc.net

For me, being a part of the CCCBC team has been a true joy. I feel strongly that all of us sometimes need help along this crazy journey of life we are on. At times, that help comes in the form of having a therapist to walk with through certain life struggles. I have been on the other side of the chair in the therapeutic relationship and am so grateful for those that have walked with me during those more challenging times in life. It truly is my great honor to listen, guide and bring clarity to my clients. I have a very down-to-earth, honest approach and in turn, provide a safe space for individuals to share freely with no judgment. I would be honored to walk your journey with you.

MY GOAL:

My desire is to help my clients move towards healing, hope and wholeness: emotionally, spiritually, and physically.

WHAT I OFFER TO YOU:

My training as a Clinical Licensed Master Social Worker

A non-judgmental, safe space to share your fears, thoughts, hopes and struggles

My professional counsel and objective insight

A collaborative relationship

An approach to each session based on a Christian perspective, respectfully presented

A variety of tools and resources (I love resources) to help you move and grow towards healing in between sessions

MY COUNSELING APPROACH:

My counseling approach is relational. I integrate several evidence-based therapeutic approaches based on clients’ issues and needs. I also use techniques such as talking, writing, mindfulness, etc. I pray and think about each of my clients as individuals and what approach would be best.

AREAS OF FOCUS:

Anxiety & Depression

Grief and Loss

Aging/Health

Adoption Issues

Life Transitions

Parenting

Interpersonal Communication

Separation/Divorce

ON A PERSONAL NOTE:

I was married for 11 years. I have two adult sons who have been blessings in my life albeit their ability to drive their mother crazy from time to time. 😊 They are wonderful human beings and have taught me much about life. In addition to working as a therapist for CCCBC, I also work full-time in a leadership position for a local nonprofit helping adults with disabilities and older adults to remain safe in the community. In my spare time, I enjoy running, hiking, walking, traveling, finding that “good deal” on a shopping trip and laughing as much as possible. I think joy can be found in life despite circumstances. I am beyond grateful for my health and the life God has blessed me with and have a passion to help others experience their best life.
