When people are hurt by trauma or severe life stressors, often they feel trapped and out of control. It is my mission in life to bring healing to broken hearts and freedom to those who feel trapped. I help my client's including children, adults, and families, to grow healthy perceptions of themselves and repair and create strong relationships so they can feel peaceful, complete and safe.
WHAT I OFFER:
No single approach is right for everyone, so I am trained in a variety of techniques including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, Expressive therapies, Sand Tray, Trauma and Loss in Children, Trauma Informed CBT, and Motivational Interviewing.
MY COUNSELING APPROACH:
My counseling approach is based on Cognitive Behavioral Therapy. I use a variety of therapeutic techniques such as talking, art therapy, writing, mindfulness, visualization etc. I focus on helping clients to live consistent with their values rather than making choices driven by emotional reactivity triggered by immediate circumstance.

ON A PERSONAL NOTE:
I have been married for 29 years and have four children. I enjoy tinkering and art. I am heavily involved with my church. I became a counselor after attending a parenting seminar and thinking, “I could do this”. That started me on this path that has defined my ministry and calling. Thank you for allowing me to serve.
